I grew up in the SE of England observing plants and nature with my father, a passion he inherited from his mother who bought me my first herb book at the age of 14.

Life changed when I moved to Cumbria at 18 – I worked in Social Security, the NHS (Pharmacy and Medicines Management) and Secondary Education over the years, whilst raising two amazing young men. They are also both interested in plants and nature – my eldest is a qualified horticulturist working for the Scottish NT whilst my youngest has travelled Australasia, working on organic farms and market gardens.

I lost the sense of who I was through all of this, but a nudge came to me first when I found myself in hospital with pneumonia in 2015 and then again, 4 years later, when I found myself struggling with the education system. I saw an advert for the Irish School of Herbal Medicine (now Core College) on Facebook.

I put my house on the market and, miraculously, it sold! I started the course, found a property here in Ireland and eventually (Covid got in the way for a while!) relocated here. Due to the situation in 2020-21, it was hard to find a job, so I worked part-time to fund my living and course costs, including 2 years at Healthy House in Cahir which gave me a good background knowledge of the relevance of some supplements.

I graduated as a Master Medical Herbalist, Iridologist and Nutritionist in 2025 and have also gained the Train the Trainer qualification (Level 6) and completed a business course.

 I have also studied Astrology for several years, and worked on myself through Therapeutic Shamanism which are both tools in my practice. I’m still on my own healing journey, but I know I am here to assist others along theirs, holistically. This led to my choice of business name – Chiron is, in Greek Mythology, the Wounded Healer.

My own Astrology leads me to a path of service, which I have always followed in my work. However, now I am sure I have completed the circle and am so happy to be working with Nature, rather than against it and serving the wonderful community where I live.
